What we cover

The origins of dishes born in Yokohama, such as sanma-men and Shiumai; how Yokohama Chinatown began; the history of places like Kanteibyo; and words you’ll meet on menus.

What we don’t cover

We do not publish opening hours, prices or crowd information, or promotional articles for restaurants. Such information changes quickly, so please check each restaurant’s official information.

Accuracy

Articles are based on sources such as local governments, tourism associations, newspapers and research papers, listed at the end of each article. Where there are several theories, we say so. Most sources are in Japanese.
